How to Make Sourdough Pizza Crust

Raise your hand if your a pizza lover! Both of my hands are up, in fact I love all types of pizza! Thick, thin, stuffed crust and my new favorite, SOURDOUGH!

As long as you have a sourdough starter you do not have to do any prep for this simple crust recipe. You must also have a cast iron pan – any size! Shown is actually a pretty small pan that I chose to make a personal size pizza.

If you need help with a starter go here.

I love that you can customize pizza with whatever toppings you prefer. I am not kidding when I say I love them all. Do y’all understand my love for pizza yet? Shown here is a personal fav, veggie pizza! I also love goat cheese on pizza! Someday we hope to have cheese from out own goats!

Alright, literally the most simple instructions ever but quite a few steps so lets dive right in.

  1. Preheat Cast Iron Skillet to 425 degrees F
  2. Remove pan carefully and drizzle olive oil
  3. Scoop sourdough starter directly into the hot pan. This will begin to cook the bottom of the crust. The amount of starter needed depends on the size of your pan and how thick you want the crust. I prefer mine thin.
  4. Drizzle olive oil and season with itialian seasoning or your choice
  5. Bake until crispy and easily removes from pan
  6. Add desired toppings
  7. Bake AGAIN! 5-10 minutes depending on what toppings you chose

DONE. SO EASY. SO DELICIOUS.
